License Activation

Autodesk will stop selling perpetual licenses of most Autodesk Design & Creation Suites and individual products. The purchase of new licenses will be available only by subscription. Customers currently on a maintenance plan will retain the option to renew their maintenance plans for the affected products and receive corresponding benefits for as long as they want. Therefore, Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2017 will support both Network License (NLM) and Standalone license (SLM). For customers who renew their maintenance plans can still use the standalone license to activate the product. For Multi-user subscription, customers need to use Network License.

To activate Infrastructure Map Server with Standalone License

  1. Launch the license activation tool from Start menu > All Programs > Autodesk > Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2017 > Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2017 Licensing Activator.
  2. Click on the Enter a Serial Number button on the pop-up dialog.
  3. Read Autodesk Privacy Statement and click I Agree button.
  4. Click on the Activate button on the Product License Activation dialog.
  5. Input your Serial Number and Product Key. Click next.

  7. Log-in to the Autodesk website with your credentials and follow the wizard to finish the activation.

You can also request an activation code by visiting: https://register.autodesk.com. Once received, continue at step 6 above and enter your activation code.

  2. The Licensing Activator will also check out a seat from the license server when it is running. Please close it once you finish the license configuration.
  3. There is no UI in the product that can help you change the license server. When you want to change it, you need to update LICPATH.lic file under folder “C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\796I1_2017.0.0.F” manually.

Below are the samples of LICPATH.lic for different license server models. The fields in bold mean areas that you can modify.
