Summary
You can reduce the number of layers in a drawing by merging them. Objects on merged layers are moved to the target layer,
and the original layers are purged from the drawing.
If you enter -LAYMRG at the Command prompt, options are displayed only at the command line.
List of Prompts
The following prompts are displayed.
After you selected the layer(s) to merge, the following prompt is displayed:
The layer you select to merge into the target layer is deleted.

Select an object on the layer whose objects will be moved.

Displays the Merge Layers dialog box, where you can select the name of a layer whose objects will be moved.
